The Challenge
A large independent IFA needed to serve a client segment that was uneconomical through traditional face-to-face advice. They had an introducer relationship that could target tens of thousands of potential clients across local government councils, but no way to deploy a digital solution.
The firm went to market for a digital advice solution and was quoted £1.5–2 million. They needed something that could handle interactive fact-finding, risk assessment, fund mapping, suitability checking, and recommendation generation — all without human intervention, but with full adviser oversight.
The Solution
Ningi built a complete digital advice journey that went through the FCA's innovation pathway. The technology handled everything from fact-finding through to personalised recommendations, with the firm retaining full oversight and regulatory responsibility.
The Results
The distribution method was deliberately simple — HR departments sending an email to employees about a new benefit. No fancy marketing, no follow-up campaigns. Just a link. The conversion rate was 25-26%, against a modelled expectation of 3%. Over 1,500 people have now received advice through the platform.
